About Us

Choosing a hearing professional is one of the most important decisions you can make when you are addressing a hearing issue.  We treat you as you deserve and want to be treated.  You will never be referred to as a customer or client.  You are a patient seeking professional advice and help for a hearing impairment.  Proper hearing aid selection and fitting is highly dependent on the judgment and skill of the professional selecting the instrument.  Dr. Jennifer Elfert has the knowledge, skills and bedside manner that many medical professionals are lacking.

Audiologists evaluate and treat hearing loss, tinnitus, balance, and related disorders. They also recommend and provide appropriate treatment, including hearing aids, audiologic rehabilitation, and hearing-assistive technology. As an audiologist certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and American Academy of Audiology, Jennifer Elfert is licensed in both NJ and NY. Her areas of specialty include the assessment and treatment of hearing disorders and tinnitus.

Jennifer's educational background includes Bachelor' and Master's degrees from Hofstra University and a Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Florida. Jennifer is always looking to grow educationally and is now enrolled in an MBA program. She started out practicing at a well-known ENT office on the Upper East Side. After moving to New Jersey, Jennifer began working in a private practice in Englewood and later joined JFK's Neuroscience Center in Edison, where she fine-tuned her skills evaluating balance disorders. From there, she joined Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, where she stayed until opening her practice here in Howell, New Jersey.

Jennifer has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of hearing loss, a subject about which she taught for a number of years as an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women in New York City. Other areas of interest include tinnitus and balance disorders.

As a practicing audiologist, Jennifer takes special pride in listening to what her patients have to say. A positive doctor-patient relationship is a partnership, and when it comes to the treatment of hearing disorders, that makes all the difference.

Dr. Laura Padham, Audiologist

Laura has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology/Audiology from Stockton University and a Doctoral degree in Audiology from Montclair University. She has experience working in private practice in Manhattan and has served internships at Jersey Shore University Hospital as well as an ENT practice in Chelsea, NYC. Laura is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and is a licensed as an Audiologist and Hearing aid Dispenser in the state of New Jersey. Her expertise includes pediatric and adult diagnostic testing as well as auditory processing testing . Before becoming an Audiologist Laura was a business owner in Ocean County for 18 years, she understands the importance of listening to what a patient has to say and how important the doctor-patient relationship is.
